Call of Duty: Warzone, released in 2020 by Infinity Ward and Raven Software, is a free-to-play battle royale game that expands the iconic Call of Duty franchise. Set in the sprawling and detailed map of Verdansk (and later other maps), Warzone pits up to 150 players in a fight for survival, offering intense action and tactical gameplay.
What sets Warzone apart is its unique features, such as the Gulag—a second-chance system where eliminated players fight one-on-one for the opportunity to rejoin the game. The game also includes contracts, which are mini-objectives that reward players with in-game currency to purchase equipment, revives, or killstreaks at Buy Stations.
Warzone blends high-octane combat with Call of Duty’s signature gunplay, offering a wide array of weapons, vehicles, and customizable loadouts. Players can choose from solo, duo, trio, or quad squad formats, making it versatile for various playstyles. Frequent updates introduce new modes, maps, and seasonal content to keep the experience fresh and engaging.
